Mourning the Lost

The Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia experienced two tragic campus shootings on Monday, April 16, 2007 in which 30 plus people lost their lives. Former member of the Wellsboro Football program Patrick Coolidge, now a sophomore physics major, currently attends Virginia Tech. Coolidge was in his calculus class near Norris Hall when the second round of shooting broke out. The Wellsboro Community is very relieved to hear that Patrick is alright, but is also mourning the losses of that fateful day. Patrick shared his experiences from that day with George Osgood of the Elmira Star Gazette.
