The Wellsboro Hornets improved their 2008 season record to 3-1 with a 54-0 shutout over Wyalusing. After a slow start in the first quarter, Jake Coolidge put the Hornets on the board first with an 80 yard interception return.

Offensively, the Hornets rushed for over 400 yards behind the Senior trio of Coolidge, Pat Driebelbies, and Steve Mengee. Wellsboro's second team offense put points on the board in the second half, as Freshman Running Back Thomas Johnston scored his first varsity touchdown on a 9 yard run.

Defensively, the Hornets controlled the line of scrimmage all night as Zack Luczak, Jared DeBlois, Chris Shelmire, Pat Driebelbies, and Mitch Christman dominated the Rams' offensive line. Aaron Moss also had another career game, accumulating 18 total tackles (15 solo). Up next for the Hornets is Sayre with kickoff scheduled for Friday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m.
