JV Hornets Lose Heartbreaker

The Wellsboro J.V. team traveled to Athens on Saturday, October 11 for a 11:00 a.m. contest with the Athens Wildcats. The Hornets came ready to play on their only Saturday game of the year, but eventually fell to Athens, 12-0.
After giving up an early touchdown, the Hornet defense played tough by forcing turnovers and kept Athens out of scoring position for most of the afternoon. However, a late interception return for a touchdown proved to be the final blow for the Wildcats. The J.V. team will be in action for the final time on October 20 at home against Canton. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
