Hornets Fall to Canton

By: Ed Weaver | NTL Sports | October 24, 2009

The Wellsboro Hornets dropped their second straight Homecoming game, and seventh game of the 2009 season, to the Canton Warriors by the final score of 20-0. Turnovers and penalties plagued the Hornets in the contest and put an end to every Wellsboro scoring opportunity. Wellsboro had a total of six turnovers (4 interceptions, 2 fumbles) to Canton's three.

Wellsboro was led by Junior Running Back Ryan Moss, who gained 102 yards on eight carries. The Hornets will be in action next Friday night against East Juniata. The game marks Wellsboro's last home game of the 2009 season and Senior Night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
