The girls soccer team fell to Mansfield 2-1 Monday night in Mansfield. Kelsey Harer scored both goals for the Tigers in the first 22 minutes of the game. Senior Taylor Acorn scored the only goal for Wellsboro in the 27th minute.

"Mansfield's defense played very tough. We were putting a lot of shots on them in the last 10 minutes of the first half and they had defenders sprinting from all directions helping the keeper block our shots on goal.," said Head Coach Maryann Wilcox. "It was a very physical game. The outcome was tough to swallow having outshot Mansfield 11 to 3."

In JV action, Mansfield defeated Wellsboro 3-1. Freshman Jena Reimann scored scored the only goal for the Hornets off an assist from Ashley Johns. The Hornets will be back in action this Friday, October 14 as they travel to Northeast Bradford for a 4:00 game.
