Hornet boys track falls to Towanda

The Wellsboro boys track team suffered their second loss of the 2012 season as they fell to Towanda last night, 95-55. Sophomore Dylan Prough had a solid performance on the night winning both the high jump (5' 10") and the long jump (18' 5"). Prough also qualified for Districts for his high jump performance.

The Hornets took the top two spots in the 400m run with Garrett Webster and Joey Doganiero taking the top two spots with times of 55.48 and 56.57, respectively. Junior Jordan Jackson also took the top spot in the mile run with a time of 4:36.45 (season best) and the 800 at 2:06.22.

Rouding out top finishes for the Hornets was the 4x800m relay team of Doganiero, Bobby Hill, Bob Owlett and Webster with a time of 9:11.82.

The team will be back in action this Saturday, April 14, as they compete in the Molly Dry Invite.
