Hornet Softball downs Sayre

The Wellsboro Varsity softball team picked up their second win in a row tonight as they downed Sayre, 10-4. Sophomore Brooke Kohler and Junior Breyann Campbell each went 1-3 with 2 RBIs at the plate. Freshmen Paige Carr, Jordan Butters, and Lauren Bleggi also added hits for the Hornets.
Sophomore Maggie Smith picked up her fifth win of the season, while Kohler came on in relief for her third save of the season.
With the win, the Hornets improve their 2012 season record to 7-3 (4-1 NTL West). The team will be back in action on Wednesday, May 2, as they travel to Northeast Bradford.
