Hornets continue skid against Wyalusing

The Hornets fell to 0-7 on the 2011-12 wrestling season after falling 67-8 against the Wyalusing Rams. Junior Adam Cleveland scored a win by technicall fall at 113 lbs. and Junior Chad Daugherty picked up his overall 13th win as he won by decision at 195 lbs.

In Middle School action, the Hornets fell to Wyalusing, 72-18. Wellsboro won 3 out of 5 matches during the contest but wound up losing due to forfeits. Nathan Watson, Tyler Evans, and Kaleb Smith all pinned their opponents and all are still undefeated.  Samantha Spurgeon and Angie Keyser fought hard in their matches, but both were pinned.

The Hornets will be back in action next Saturday, January 14. The Varsity team will be at the Jersey Shore tournament while the Middle School team will travel to Port Allegany.
