The Wellsboro Middle School girls basketball team rebounded from a 12-10 halftime deficit to beat Williamson, 21-14. Alexa Singer and Darci Warriner led the team with 6 points each and Sarah Ingerick added 5.

"We had a lot of mistakes and turnovers in the first half and trailed 12-10 at halftime," said head coach Darrell Morris. "Our girls were disappointed with their play in the first half and came out in the second half and just absolutely shut Williamson down, holding them to only 2 points in the second half."

In the B-Team game, Wellsboro lost a heartbreaker, 13-12. The team will be back in action on Tuesday, March 20, as they host Cowanesque Valley.
