Girls soccer rolls past Williamson

The Wellsboro Varsity girls soccer team exploded for 8 goals en route to a big win over Williamson Wednesday night.

Sophomore Brynn Ripley had a hat trick to lead the Lady Hornets on the night. Her first goal came in the 36th minute to put Wellsboro up 1-0 heading into the half. Ripley returned later in the 56th minute and again in the 65th to complete the hat trick.

Sophomore Sarah Ingerick scored in the 63rd minute, Junior Lauren Bleggi scored at 72:40, and Junior Emilie Kramer scored at 76:39.

Sophomore Lindsey Graver found the back of the net at 78:55 and Freshman Kelsey Logan scored the final goal at 79.59.

Kramer and Ripley also had assists on the night.

The Lady Hornets outshot Williamson 28-1, with Junior Meghan Bodine making the lone save in net.

In the J.V. game, the Lady Hornets won 3-0.

With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 7-8-1 (6-7-1 NTL). The team will be back in action on Saturday, October 12 as they host Towanda.
