Hornet wrestlers fall to Coudersport

The Wellsboro Varsity wrestling team dropped their third straight match as they lost to Coudersport Tuesday night, 30-24.

Junior Nate Logan and Freshman Tyler Evans got things started off for the Hornets, as Logan received a forfeit at 106 lbs. and Evans pinned Drake Snyder in 2:21 at 113 lbs.

Junior Nate Ingerick picked up his 17th win of the year at 126 lbs. by forfeit and Seniors Chad Daugherty and Eli Kennedy each recorded wins to close out the night. Daugherty earned win number 23 of the year and the 97th of his career, as he picked up a 7-1 decision against Forest Tuttle at 195 lbs. Kennedy, who bumped up to 285 lbs., won a 3-0 decision against Kyle Clay.

In the Middle School match, the Hornets lost 62-9.

With the loss, the Hornets are now 1-13 (0-4 NTL Large Division). The team will be back in action for their final regular season match on Thursday, February 7 as they travel to Williamson.
