Senior Jordan Jackson scored 22 points to lead the Hornets over Troy 67-51 after trailing in the first quarter. The win was the Hornets' 20th of the season, the third consecutive year the Hornets have reached that mark under head coach Todd Outman.

Troy led 14-12 after the first quarter but Wellsboro rallied to take 29-28 lead at the half, and never looked back as they scored 20 points in the third quarter to put the NTL cross-over game out of reach, and knock Troy out of District 4 playoff contention.

Junior Joey Doganiero and Sophomore Kieron Smethers added 16 and 11 points, respectively to back up Jackson in double figures. Junior Dylan Prough scored seven, Freshman Dawson Prough netted six and Sophomore Michael Pietropola scored five to round out the Hornets' scoring on the night.

In the JV game, the Hornets won 45-30. Dawson Prough scored a team-high 18 points in the game to help the team improve to 14-6 under coach Chase Kriner.

With the win, the Varsity team improves to 20-1 (9-0 NTL West). The team will return to action Friday night, February 15 as they host rival North Penn.
