Lady Hornets fall to Coudersport

Following a win over Cowanesque Friday night, the Wellsboro Varsity girls basketball team fell to Coudersport Saturday night, 42-34.

The Lady Hornets trailed 10-6 after the first quarter and 22-12 at the half, and despite out-scoring Coudersport in the third quarter, they couldn't pull out the victory.

Sophomore Sarah Ingerick led Wellsboro with 10 points, while Junior Peyton Wilson had six on a pair of three-pointers.

Sophomores Raisa Rogers and Jada Jackson had four points each and Junior Jordan Butters and Sophomore Jenny Young each had three points, while Sophomore Alexa Singer and Senior Brooke Kohler both finished with two points.

Young added six rebounds and Ingerick had two blocks in the loss.

In the J.V. game, the Lady Hornets lost 29-22. Young led the team with 10 points.

With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 2-4. The team will be back in action on Monday, December 23 as they host Canton.
