Senior Mackenzie Marple and Kimberly Acorn combined for 30 points as the Lady Hornets topped CV, 45-33.

Marple scored 16 points, including going 8-8 from the foul line to lead the team. Acorn scored 14 and went 6-6 from the foul line.

"As we expected, CV was a tough team on their home court," said head coach Mary Grab. "Their defense was intense and their outside shooting pretty strong when they needed it, and our girls took a long time to get into control of the game, but, in the end, came out on top."

Senior Hannah Zuchowski was the third leading scorer on the night with 6 points, followed by Freshman Jada Jackson with 4, Senior Jessie Catherman with 3, and Freshman Sarah Ingerick with 2.

In the JV game, the Hornets continued their perfect season by defeated Cowanesque 45-7.

With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 9-10 (6-2 NTL West). The team will be back in action on Thursday, February 7 as they travel to Williamson.
