Volleyball team falls to Mansfield

The Wellsboro Varsity volleyball team dropped their third straight league match as they fell to rival Mansfield in 5 games Thursday night.

Wellsboro took the first game 26-24, lost the second 25-10, won the third 25-10, lost the fourth 25-22, and dropped the final game 15-10 to end the match.

Senior Kaelyn Keane led the team with 18 points and 5 blocks, Sophomore Haley Zuchowski had 22 digs, Junior Jordan Butters had 10 kills, and Junior Peyton Wilson had 11 assists.

In the J.V. game, the Lady Hornets beat Mansfield in 2 games (25-4 & 25-11).

With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 4-3 (0-3 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Saturday, September 21 as they participate in the Shamokin tournament.
