Hornet swimmers compete at Williamsport Invite

The Wellsboro Swim team competed in the Williamsport Coaches Invite on Saturday, February 7.

Sophomore Nathan Cotner took home two first place finishes as he swam 1:53.56 in the 200 Freestyle and 51.02 in the 100 Freestyle. Freshman Connor Brought was 10th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:14.18) and 3rd in the 200 IM (2:23.9), and Senior Emilie Kramer was 1st in the 200 IM (2:23.22) and 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:12.92).

Sophomore Olivia Kurtz also took home two first place finishes, one in the 50 Freestyle (26.53) and the other in the 100 Freestyle (57.23), Junior Mikayla Feil was 3rd in the 50 Freestyle (27.15) and 5th in the 100 Freestyle (1:00.89), Freshman Kaitlyne Kramer was 10th in the 50 Freestyle (28.67) and 11th in the 100 Freestyle (1:04.29), and Freshman Grace Feil was 18th in the 50 Freestyle (29.67) and 13th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:26.53).

Freshman Abby Feil was 30th in the 50 Freestyle (31.63) and 17th in the 100 Backstroke (1:16.44), Senior Meghan Bodine was 36th in the 50 Freestyle (32.7) and 22nd in the 100 Freestyle (1:14.89), and Sophomore Allyssa Boyd was 42nd in the 50 Freestyle (36.6) and 29th in the 100 Freestyle (1:24.64).

The team will be back in action as they travel to Sayre on Tuesday, February 10 for the NTL Swim Meet.
