The Wellsboro Track teams each took home second place finishes at the NTL Meet on Saturday, May 9.

The girls scored 130 points to finish behind Athens while the boys tied with Athens with 96 points for 2nd behind Northeast Bradford.

Head Coach Elizabeth Hoover was very pleased with both of her teams' performances on the day.

"The kids all worked really hard this past week to get ready for today," Hoover said. "We had a lot of kids improve upon what they've done leading up to this meet and we had a few qualify for Districts next weekend so I'm pretty happy about that."

Earlier in the afternoon the Lady Hornets were within a point of Athens and the boys were winning the meet.

"I knew it was going to be tough to beat the Athens girls and I tried to keep a positive attitude with the girls and thinking we had a shot at it but Athens had a tremendous day," continued Hoover.
