Hornet wrestlers fall to Troy, 63-3

Senior Jack Chambers won the lone match for Wellsboro in a 63-3 loss to Troy on Thursday, January 22.

Chambers scored a 7-2 decision at 152 lbs. over Troy's Colin MacWhinnie for Wellsboro's only points of the match. Freshman Cory Busch was pinned by Dalton Revels at 126 lbs. in the opening match, Logan Rathbun lost by pin fall in 27 seconds to Colin Binford at 138 lbs., and Junior Vincent DeRita was pinned in 2:40 at 145 lbs. by Gabe Ceely before Chambers' win.

Troy then went on to record five forfeits before Dylan Brennan scored a 4-2 decision on Junior Owen Covert at 285 lbs. in the final match.

With the loss, the Hornets fall to 1-18 (0-8 NTL). The team will be back in action for their Senior Night against Northeast Bradford on Wednesday, February 4.
