Hornets fall to NEB on Senior Night

The Wellsboro Varsity Wrestling team dropped their final regular season match to Northeast Bradford, 60-12 on Tuesday, February 10.

Senior Logan Rathbun started the first match of the evening off with a loss by pin at 138 lbs., and Junior Vincent DeRita lost by pin at 145 lbs. Senior Jack Chambers won his match by pin at 152 lbs. to put the Hornets on the score board and Junior Owen Covert won by forfeit at 285 lbs. to give the Hornets their 12 points.

In the final match of the evening, Freshman Cory Busch was pinned at 120 lbs.

In the Middle School match, the Hornets lost 42-30 to NEB to finish their year with a record of 5-4.

The Varsity team will be back in action this Saturday, February 14 as they travel to Sayre for Sectionals.
