MS boys top Williamson, 41-26

The Wellsboro Middle School Boys Basketball team won their fourth game in a row as they defeated Williamson 41-26 on Friday, March 13.

The Hornets jumped out to a 10-4 lead after the first quarter and increased their lead to 20-9 at halftime. After the third quarter Wellsboro was up 34-16 and hung on for the win.

Andrew Brelo led the way with 11 points and Brandyn Tuttle had seven. Taynton Repard, Ben Barnett, Isaac Bechtel, Holden Kennedy, and Cameron Tennis all scored four points each, Nate Redell scored two points, and Carson Davis added one.

"Everyone is playing together with confidence," said head coach Ed Hamm. "We were able to keep our lead because we passed the ball better tonight and took high percentage shots."

The B team also won on the night, beating Williamson 27-12. With the win, the Hornets improve their record to 6-4. The team will be back in action on Thursday, March 19 as they travel to Cowanesque Valley.
