The Wellsboro Middle School Girls Basketball B team finished their season with two wins over Liberty on Wednesday, April 8.

The B team split with Liberty. In the first game, Jaime Palmer had 8 points, while Cathryn Brought, Ruby Stocks, and Luna Alexander added two points each in a 19-14 loss. Wellsboro led the whole game and had a 14-10 lead in the 4th quarter, but Liberty tied the game and forced overtime and scored the only five points in overtime.

In the second game, the Hornets won 18-6 and led the entire game. Tiana Lecker and Nina Coolidge had 6 points each, Luna Alexander added 4, and Grace Brueilly added 2 points.

"The B team girls really came a long way this year and finished the season winning 5 of their final 7 games," said head coach Darrell Morris. "Coach Kristen West had a very long bench with 14 to 15 girls dressing in every game, but she managed to play every girl in every game and really organized the girls well. This group really supported each other, cheered for each other, and had a nice run to end the season."

The B team finished the season with a record of 8-6-1.
