Junior Nathan Cotner placed 17th at the PIAA Swimming Championships at Bucknell University on Friday, March 18.

Cotner swam a time of 1:49.97 in the 200 Freestyle, up three places from when he last competed at states as a freshman in 2014.

"I was pretty nervous," Cotner said. "I came out there and tried to treat it like any other race. It went well, I just felt like my turns were a little slow. With better turns I think I could have improved on my time."

While the time might not have been what he wanted, after placing second at Districts, Cotner was happy with the way he swam.

"I loved being down here," he said. "The energy was so amazing. It's great to be down here. I hope next year I can come back and compete."

WellsboroAthletics.com would like to congratulate Nathan on an outstanding season.
