Hornet swimmers compete against Athens, Towanda

Members of the Wellsboro Swim team took to the pool against Athens and Towanda on Tuesday, December 13.

For the boys, junior Connor Brought swam 2:19.24 in the 200 IM and 1:04.46 in the 100 Backstroke. Senior Nathan Cotner clocked 22.83 in the 50 Freestyle and 59.08 in the 100 Backstroke, senior Devan Warner swam 1:00.04 in the 100 Freestyle and 1:19.04 in the 100 Breaststroke, and freshman Brennan Warner recorded a 57.74 in the 100 Freestyle and 1:15.88 in the 100 Breaststroke.

For the girls, freshman Cathryn Brought swam 26.47 in the 50 Freestyle and 1:14.31 in the 100 Breaststroke. Junior Abby Feil finished the 50 Freestyle in 30.19 and the 100 Backstroke in 1:16.31.

Connor Brought, Cathryn Brought, Cotner, Devan Warner, and Brennan Warner all qualified for Districts.

The team will be back in action on January 17 in Sayre.
