Sophomore Aidan Perry won the race in 18:40 and junior Connor Brought finished directly behind Perry in 19:10. Freshman Austin Richards (19:40) was 5th, senior Alden Weiner (20:06) was 7th, sophomore Bergen Weiner (20:32) was 9th, sophomore Zack Busch (20:50) was 10th, junior Michael Stefanowicz (21:02) finished 13th, senior Bryon Callahan (21:47) was 15th, freshman Lucas Citrino (23:22) came home 19th, junior Logan Morral (23:35) was 20th, sophomore Taylor Wheeler (24:25) was 22nd, freshman Tyren Wetzel (31:41) was 25th, and junior Noah Smith (36:40) finished 26th.

"It was a tremendous day," Wellsboro head coach Ron Brought said. "Every runner on the team improved their time from the last time we were on the course here, which was two weeks ago. Conditions were more favorable today and I think that they were more comfortable in general running. They're peaking at the right time, we're going into the later part of the season here when we want to be preparing for the District meet and they're doing the work and it's paying off."

In the Middle School races, the Wellsboro boys defeated Canton and Towanda 15-50, while the girls beat Canton 15-50 and Towanda 23-32. Cameron Campbell (11:25) was the top finishing boy and Hope Sampson (12:45) was the top girl.

The wins improve the Lady Hornets to 6-2 overall and the boys to 7-1. The teams will be back in action next Tuesday, October 11 for their final NTL dual meet at North Penn-Mansfield.
