Senior sisters Morgan Florio and Kirsten Florio announced they will continue their volleyball careers this fall at Division III Morrisville State College on Tuesday, March 28.

Both sisters are extremely happy to continue their careers together at the same school.

"I'm looking forward to spending another four years playing with Kirsten," said Morgan.

"The same as Morgan," Kirsten said. "I'm excited to spend another four years with her, but to get to know more people along with her beside me. We've met the coaches and some of the players. It's really great there."

"The coaches and players were all real welcoming," Morgan said.

"Everyone was so easy to get along with," added Kirsten.

The sisters were members of the Hornet Volleyball team for four years, members of the team's 2015 District IV championship team, and have played travel volleyball during the off-season months to keep their skills sharp.

Both sisters led the Lady Hornets this past season in sets played with Kirsten playing 79 and Morgan playing 77. Kirsten led the team in kills (275), aces (39), blocks (69), was second in points scored (143), and was third on the team in digs (165). Kirsten recorded 586 kills for her career along with 79 aces, 201 blocks, and 316 digs.

Morgan was second in kills (226), was second in points scored (155), second in digs (257), second in assists (123), and third in aces (21). Morgan finished her career with 391 kills, 79 aces, 82 blocks, 534 digs, and 535 assists.

For head coach Sharon Zuchowski, the sisters are the fourth and fifth athletes to continue their careers at the collegiate level.

"They've been real big contributors to our program," said Zuchowski. "They played a really big facor in our District win last year, they were great leaders this year for our team, and they've left the team in a good place for next year. I'm very proud and extremely excited that they get to go on and play at the collegiate level. I know they like to play volleyball and I think it's great they get to play four more years together."

WellsboroAthletics.com would like to congratulate both Kirsten and Morgan on continuing their volleyball careers, and would like to thank them for all their hard work and dedication during their careers.
