Hornet swimmers post 8 District qualifying times against Towanda

Members of the Wellsboro Swim Team posted 8 District IV qualifying times at Towanda on Thursday, February 2.

On the girls side, senior Olivia Kurtz posted qualifying times of 2:07.55 in the 200 Freestyle and 1:07.42 in the 100 Backstroke and junior Kaitlyne Kramer swam 28.87 in the 50 Freestyle. Kramer also swam 6:29.26 in the 500 Freestyle and junior Abby Feil posted times of 30.78 in the 50 Freestyle and 1:16.45 in the 100 Backstroke.

For the boys, junior Connor Brought posted a qualifying time of 2:14.0 in the 200 IM and a 26.50 in the 50 Freestyle. Senior Nathan Cotner had qualifying times of 2:12.66 in the 200 IM and 59.82 in the 100 Backstroke, and freshman Brennan Warner qualified in both the 50 Freestyle (26.09) and the 100 Backstroke (1:07.74). Senior Devan Warner swam 26.07 in the 50 Freestyle and 1:12.92 in the 100 Butterfly.

The Hornets will be back in the pool in Sayre for the NTL Meet on Wednesday, February 8.
