Hornets end 2017 season at GSVAL Championships

The Wellsboro Summer Swim Team completed the 2017 season at the GSVAL Championships on Saturday, July 29.
Wellsboro's 15-18 girls scored 81 points for the 3rd place finish while the 15-18 boys finished 8th with 31 points. Combined, the 15-18 team finished 4th overall and the Hornets placed 6th with 606 points in all age groups.
For the girls Olivia Kurtz won the 200 Freestyle in 2:29.27, Cathryn Brought (28.75) won the 50 Freestyle with Kurtz (30.56) in 4th, Cathryn Brought (2:43.89) was 2nd in the 200 IM and won the 100 Freestyle in 1:04.60, and Kurtz was 6th in the 100 Butterfly (1:18.83).
For the boys Connor Brought (2:20.02) finished 4th in the 200 Freestyle, 5th in the 100 Backstroke (1:15.28), and 5th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:25.81).
