Wellsboro girls top Central Columbia

The Wellsboro Girls Summer Swim Team scored a 45-17 win over Central Columbia on Saturday, July 15 at Packer Park.

Olivia Kurtz won the 200 Freestyle in 2:16.75, the 100 Freestyle (59.75), and the 100 Butterfly (1:10.53). Cathryn Brought won three events on the day. She won the 50 Freestyle (26.47), the 200 IM (2:28.89), and the 100 Backstroke (1:13.44). Abby Feil was 3rd in the 100 Backstroke (1:16.82), 5th in the 100 Freestyle (1:10.28), and won the 100 Breaststoke (1:28.09).

Allyssa Boyd was 2nd in the 100 Breaststoke (2:03.31) and the team of Kurtz, Brought, Feil, and Boyd (2:23.69) won the 200 Medley Relay.

Central Columbia boys topped Wellsboro 26-13.

For the boys, Connor Brought won the 200 Freestyle (2:02.89), won the 100 Breaststoke (1:10.58), and was 2nd in the 100 Butterfly (1:09.06).

Overall on the day, Wellsboro's girls beat Central Columbia 222-96 and the boys won 174-71.

The team will be back in action at Packer Park against Jersey Shore on Saturday, July 22.
