Wellsboro girls tops Jersey Shore, 46-29

The Wellsboro Girls Summer 15-18 Swim Team picked up their second straight first place finish by beating Jersey Shore 46-29 on Saturday, July 22.

For the girls Olivia Kurtz (2:11.60) won the 200 Freestyle, Cathryn Brought (25.69) won the 50 Freestyle with Brenna White (30.44) in 3rd, Brieanna Tuttle (34.97) in 6th, and Allyssa Boyd (39.07) was 8th. Brought (2:25.69) won the 200 IM, Kurtz (1:08.71) won the 100 Backstoke with Abby Feil (1:19.75) in 3rd, and Cathryn Brought (57.41) won the 100 Freestyle.

White (1:20.94) won the 100 Breaststoke and Kurtz tied for 1st in the 100 Butterfly in 1:14.41.

The team of Feil, Boyd, White, and Tuttle (2:44.36) were 2nd in the 200 Medley Relay and the team of Kurtz, Feil, White, and Cathryn Brought won the 200 Freestyle Relay in 2:08.47.

The 15-18 boys lost a close meet by the final of 20-15. Connor Brought had a great day as he won the 100 Backstroke 1:03.97, the 100 Freestyle in 55.22, and the 100 Breaststoke in 1:12.25.

Overall, the Wellsboro girls won 241.5-98.5 and the boys won 131-125.
