Hornet wrestlers fall to Canton

The Wellsboro Varsity Wrestling team dropped 10th straight match in a 52-15 loss to Canton on Thursday, January 25.

The Hornets managed to win three bouts on the night. Junior Robert Brown scored a 10-4 decision over Jaden Hulslandor at 285 lbs., sophomore Connor Ramsey pinned Taylor Acla in 1:32 at 132 lbs., and freshman Nick Smith won by forfeit at 138 lbs.

Canton also won the Middle School match 72-6, dropping Wellsboro to 1-8 on the season. Coleman Brown scored the Hornets' lone win by fall at 138 lbs.

The loss drops the Hornets to 1-13 (1-7 NTL). The team will be back in action on Wednesday, February 7 at Towanda.
