Northern Tier League Sports Podcast Coming August 2019

By: Shane Wilber | NTL Sports | July 11, 2019

Sports Podcasts have become the new wave for sports fans and in 2019 Northern Tier League fans will be able to enjoy a podcast dedicated to their own league.

"NTL Now" will be a platform for coverage of all NTL Sports that will feature interviews with coaches & players, analysis of area sports, and interviews with area media outlets about topics affecting the Northern Tier League.

The podcast, set to debut this August, will be hosted by Shane Wilber (Wiggle 100 Radio) and Joe Carreon (Canton Independent Sentinel) and will be made available at NTLSports.com and the Northern Tier League's social media platforms on Facebook and Twitter with the help of Ed Weaver (Circle W Sports).

Wilber comes to the podcast with years of on air experience and has covered NTL athletes for more than 15 years.

"I'm excited for this new adventure, it seems like it was just last November when I approached Joe (Carreon) about the thought of making this happen. Now about nine months later we are making it a reality," said Wilber. "It will give the Northern Tier League another media platform to help showcase our great coaches & athletes in the league. The key factor of this podcast is that it's going to cover all sports in all seasons which will make for a well rounded podcast for the NTL."

Joe Carreon began covering the NTL in 2014 when he was the Sports Director at Wellsboro Home Page and covered the league closely starting in 2015 when he took over as Sports Editor for Tioga Publishing in Wellsboro.

"I think this is a great opportunity to help get this league the recognition it deserves," said Carreon. "These athletes and coaches are some of the best in the region and I cant wait to give listeners in depth coverage of this league. There is endless potential when using this platform."

Ed Weaver has been covering NTL athletes since 2006. Weaver is the owner of Circle W Sports in Wellsboro, PA, is the Sports Director for The Home Page Network and the creator of WellsboroAthletics.com and WellsboroFootball.com.
