Sayre Girls top North Penn-Liberty Girls by 15

The North Penn-Liberty Lady Mounties faced the Sayre Lady Redskins on Friday, January 31st. Sayre gained a considerable lead in the first quarter 11-3. The Lady Redskins then widened their lead even more going into the second quarter, scoring another 13 points to the Lady Mounties' 6 points. The third quarter was an extreme game of catch-up for the Lady Mounties as they were able to score 14 points. In the final quarter the Lady Mounties were able to out-shoot the Lady Redskins, scoring 11 points to Sayre's 10. Kiersten Mitstifer led the Lady Mounties with 11 points. Even with a tough battle in the last half, the Sayre Lady Redskins were able to outscore the Lady Mounties 49-34.
