Sitzman, Dugan head All-Region golf, tennis teams.

For Pennsylvania the golf season was in the fall, but for N.Y. it just wrapped up this spring.

So with the school year behind us the All-Region golf team is ready to be unveiled.

At the same time, we are announcing this year's all-region boys', and N.Y. co-ed, tennis team.

Athens' Zach Sitzman won the District 4 title this year and he is the golfer of the year, while Tanner Adriance averaged under 80 as a freshman and had the best season by a freshman golfer since T.J. Howe in 2002 and he's the newcomer of the year.

The District 4 tennis champion Tyler Dugan of Galeton is the tennis player of the year, while Nate Redell moved from fourth up to second singles during the season for Wellsboro and had their team's best record at 7-6 to earn newcomer of the year honors.

The golf first team includes Sitzman and Adriance, along with Towanda's Nick Innocenzo; Sayre's Ryan Murrelle; Notre Dame's Mike Stearns; Tioga's Sam Taylor and one girls' golfer, Alex Tomasso of Waverly.

The second team includes Mansfield's J.P. Shaw; NEB's Nate Watkins; Towanda's Mitchell Shoemaker and Chandler Dunn and Athens' Jacob Aquilio and Ryan Kennedy; along with a pair of girls' golfers Gianna and Capria Picco of Waverly.

The tennis all-region first team singles players include Dugan and Galeton teammates Eli Trimbur and Mitchell Smith. Towanda's Matt McNeal and Tyler Basse; Wellsboro's Tyler Kennedy; Notre Dame's Rocco and Junior Coulibaly and Waverly's Hunter Heath and Cody Czebiniak are on the first team for singles.

The first team doubles include Jack Kaffenbarger and Aidan Sharma of Notre Dame, along with Crusaders teammates Declan Sharma and Mitch Vargas and Notre Dame's Nick Steed and Mathis Marcdargent.

Waverly's Tiffany Czebiniak and Jose Garcia are on the first team for doubles, with Galeton's Evin and Joel Griffen and Anthony Vogel and Ryan Risch of Towanda.
