Notre Dame sweeps Sidney, 5-0.

The Notre Dame girls' tennis squad defeated Sidney, 5-0, on Tuesday.

In singles, Maddie Wirth defeated Hailey Hoag, 6-0, 6-0; Anigie Liriano topped Marisa Schott, 6-0, 6-0; Alexandra Meier downed Remington Crandall, 6-0, 6-2; and Evalynn Dean defeated Hailey Gopel, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, Claudia Hatef and Renata Russo defeated Misty Moore and Hilde Savino, 6-1, 6-1.

Montgomery 6, Galeton 1

Galeton's Crystal Wells defeated Montgomery's Jaelyn Woods 7-6 (10-8), 1-6, (10-3) in the last singles match, but Montgomery won the rest of the matches to win, 6-1, on Tuesday.

In singles, Katie Forrestal defeated Lauren Cimino, 6-1, 6-1; Abby Stryker downed Julia Burrows, 6-0, 6-0; Rachel Miller topped Sierra Burrous, 6-0, 6-1; and Brinna McHenry defeated Autumn Brelo, 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, Emily Wolfgang and McHenry defeated Cimino and Burrous, 7-5, 6-2; and Brooke Bartlow and Sage Whipple defeated Brelo and Wells, 10-1.

Galeton hosts Wellsboro today at 4 p.m.
