Sullivan County holds off Wyalusing, 56-41.

The Sullivan County boys defeated Wyalusing 56-41 in local basketball action on Tuesday.

John Saxe led SC's attack with 23 points and nine rebounds, Alex Baumunk shot 8-11 for a career high 19 points and eight rebounds, Jon Pedro added six points and 11 rebounds, Jordan Pedro and Noah Brown had three points and Taylor Baldwin finished with two.

For Wyalusing, Will Martin had nine points, Jon Morrison finished with seven, Calvin Burke totaled six points, Kasar Cameron, Drew Masters and Scott Eberlin each had four points and Chandler Brown had two.

Sullivan won the JV match 37-18. SC's Dylan Hottenstein had 11 points and Wyalusing's Joel Bennett finished with five.

Sullivan hosts Troy on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Loyalsock 75, Athens 35

The Athens boys fell to Loyalsock, 75-35 in a non-league game on Tuesday.

Gavin Stein led the Wildcats with 15 points including four three-pointers, Ethan Lane added nine points, Dan Joyce finished with seven, and Mateo Baglin and Aaron Lane each had two points.

Loyalsock's Mitch Klingerman scored 19 points to lead Loyalsock to victory.

GIRLS

Galeton 52, Northern Potter 45

The Galeton girls defeated Northern Potter 52-45 in local basketball action on Tuesday.

Makayla Shadle led Galeton with 21 points including four three pointers, Cortney Parsell added 13 points, Katelyn Pagano finished with eight points, Olivia Pagano had six points and Laura Parsell and Haylee Ludington each finished with two points.

Galeton's record now stands at 14-8 on the year.

Sullivan County 49, CMVT 34

The Sullivan County girls defeated CMVT 49-34 in local basketball action on Tuesday.

Stef Kramer led Sullivan's attack with 13 points and nine rebounds, Jess King had 12 points, eight rebounds and two steals, Ashley Faus finished with 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and five steals, Sarah Parrish added six points, six rebounds and one steal, Bethany Weinhardt compiled four points, eight rebounds, two assists and three steals, Alexis Randall had four points, three rebounds, and three steals and Leah Beinlich finished with two rebounds, one assist and two steals.

Sullivan County won the JV match 35-17, Alexis Randall finished with 18 points.
