Local roundup: Tuttle’s double-double helps lift Hornets.

Brandyn Tuttle posted a double-double of 16 points, 10 rebounds while adding four steals as Wellsboro defeated Athens, 81-47, in boys basketball.

Collin Pietropola came up shy of a double-double after leading the Green Hornets with 21 points and grabbing eight rebounds, dishing out five assists and having two steals.

Dalton Prough (14 points, four rebounds, seven assists, three blocks, five steals) and Quinn Henry (14) both were in double-digit scoring as well.

Brandyn Choplosky had a team-high 17 points to lift North Penn-Liberty to a 45-38 win over Cowanesque Valley.

CV as led by Christian Kemp and Skyler Vinluan who both scored eight points.

Dylan Meyer had a team-high 16 points and Nick Kasper added 15 to help North Penn-Mansfield defeat Towanda, 72-43.

Mansfield led 28-3 after the first quarter.

Mifflinburg beat Milton in overtime, 72-66. Tony Manzano led the Black Panthers with an 18-point performance and Milton got double-digit scoring from Eric Council (15), Alex Garcia (14) and Quaylin Rice (13).

Jaiden Lynch scored 21 points in St. John Neumann's 72-39 win over Muncy. David Hill finished with 16 points and Noah Persun had 15. Nate Paisley led Muncy with 15 points and Colby Moyer added 11.

Alex Baumunk, John Saxe and Jessie Williams score in double-digits as Sullivan County defeated Bucktail 75-31. Saxe led with 15 points, Baumunk had 12 and Williams had 10.

Tony Pentz led Bucktail with 11 points.

Canton defeated NEB, 61-51, behind Michael Smither's game-high 23 points. Zach Rentzel added 15 and Camden Route had 13.

Jersey Shore edged Shamokin, 61-57. Jay Dincher had a game-high 25 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Armstrong finished with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Lewisburg fell in a close 51-50 game to Danville. Nate Liscum led the Green Dragons with 27 points while Aaron Hoover added eight. Danville was led by Shane Kozick's 16 points.

Bloomsburg defeated South Williamsport 59-42. Cole Lentz led the Mounties with 15 points and Pete Sinibaldi added 12.

Galeton fell to Port Allegheny, 48-27. Makaya Shadle led the Tigers with 11 points, Katelyn Pagano had five.

Williamsport defeated Danville, 42-33, in high school wrestling. The Millionaires' Ethan Williamson pinned Garrett Steinbacher at 285 pounds in 22 seconds. Torren Potts won by pin at 170 pounds in 1:02.

Kyle Tomb pinned Nick Maria at 170 pounds in 4:03, Hunter O'Connor won for Jersey Shore at 182 with a pin in 1;09 and the Bulldogs won against Hughesville, 58-12.

David Tomb won in 1:35 with a pin at 195.

Montgomery went 2-0 in tri-meet with Sullivan County (55-24) and CMVT (71-6). Oscar Garica got a pin at 138 pounds over Colton Ammerman in 4:52 and a 16-0 tech fall over Jensen McNanus of CMVT. Eithan Marion got pins at both 220 and 285 pounds. Sullivan County's Nate Higley pinned Kai Felix in the 132-pound bout.

Evie Rembold won the 100 backstroke and was part of the winning 400 freestyle relay team to help the Central Mountain girls defeat Williamsport, 92-90. On the boys side, Williamsport defeated Central Mountain, 117-61.

Williamsport won the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. Evan Barone, Alex Zicolello, Devon Shank and Samuel Hillman finished the 200 relay in 1:50.84 and Jack Beattie, Zachary Schwoyer, Quinn Serfass and Matthew Beard finished in 3:41.35 in the 400 relay.
